Canon’s network camera supports up to 30 simultaneous users to access and view video images at the same time. It allows web monitoring, thanks to the built-in Web Viewer. Other features include Color Night Mode as low as 0.2 lux, Motion Detection, Audio Input/Output, a Recording Stream Function and support for IEEE 802.3af standard for Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology.
Canon’s VB-C500D has a progressive-scan CCD and a 82-degree wide angle Canon lens with 2.4x optical zoom. It offers 4x digital zoom. The DIGIC NET image processor features Smart Shade ptz controllers (SSC) and Auto/Day Night image enhancement functions and enables the VB-C500D to perform simultaneous Motion-JPEG (M-JPEG) and MPEG-4 video encoding and transmission in high-quality VGA (640 x 480) resolution at a full 30 frames per second.
